What are some good fonts for knitting words into a sweater?
Filed Under Hobbies & Crafts | 3 Comments
I’m knitting a baby cardigan with the baby’s name on the back. I can knit it in using either intarsia or fairisle method, but I’m wondering if there are any fonts that are easy to create a knitting chart from, that aren’t too blocky and still have some style to them. Does anyone have any experience with this?

How do you hold multiple strands for Fair Isle knitting?
Filed Under Other - Arts & Humanities | 5 Comments
I”m knitting a fair Isle hat and having trouble holding the two balls of yarn. I throw my yarn with my left hand and tried to wrap both strings around my first and second fingers and failed miserably. Are there any pictures showing how to do this method successfully?

I’ve been looking for a good pattern, and I was just curious if I could get some input from others. I like knitting fun things like toys, and things that are different. Any tips would be great!

Are circular knitting needles measured in inches from point to point, or just by the flexible part that connects the two needles?
I am trying to figure out the length of a small set of Clover Takumi 10 1/2 that I own (and no longer have the case). From end to end it measures 17.3 inches. Just the flexible part measures about 10 inches.
Thanks!

i always see these women make all this old fashioned stuff, not to say they don’t look good, but i was wonderin if there were any teens that can knit just as good as these other women do, but give their knitting a little bit a spice. Thanx.
